About Us

The Friends of Treasure Island (FTI) is a registered 501c3 non-profit working in partnership with the owner of Treasure Island Camp (TIC), Haubert Outdoor Oriented Adventure Hospitality (HOOAH), LLC and Treasure Island Outfitters (TIO), LLC.  FTI runs selected camping weekends at no charge for Scouts BSA units, Order of the Arrow Lodges, and Chapters as well as Family Camping Weekends for FTI paid members.  If you want to camp and are not a member, join and camp.  All membership fees go to the Friends of Treasure Island.  FTI supervises these Camping Weekends through an all-volunteer, highly skilled, trained Treasure Island Camp Staff (TICS) to ensure the campers enjoy a safe and fun filled weekend. The FTI volunteers are predominantly current BSA registered adults.

Treasure Island camp is not in any way affiliated with or operated by the Scouts BSA or any Scouts BSA council.

TIC is a place of magic and mystery. Established as a Boy Scout camp in 1913, TI since 2018 is a private campground, which offers Scouts BSA (only) weekend camping at no charge during the FTI season – typically the spring and fall. TIC is also available on a fee basis for both Scouts BSA units and the public during the TI Outfitters summer season.

We offer a unique camping experience that you cannot find anywhere else. Come and camp with us on this hallowed ground where the Lenape tribe hunted and camped, and Scouting’s legends walked.

A barge ride across the mighty Delaware to “the island” begins your journey. This is as remote as Bucks County, PA can offer. However, you are still within reach of many off island adventures like tubing, canoeing, biking, hiking, fine dining, and shopping. We take you back in time so that you can enjoy the pure spirit of camping without today’s distractions.

Experience the magic of historic Treasure Island for the first time or again by planning a camp out with your Scouts BSA unit or some of your old friends and relive the “glory days” when you were a TI camper.

TREASURE ISLAND CAMP SONG

by E. Urner Goodman

By the river that surrounds thee
Flowing mile on mile
Neath the stars that shine above thee
Dear ole Treasure Isle
We who know thy woodland treasures
Pause in thought a while
Calling back to mind thy pleasures
Dear ole Treasure Isle

We have known the woods that grace thee
Traced thy meadows o’re
Learned the flowers that bloom upon thee
Watched the birds that soar
Often have your waters blessed us
Off the sun’s bright smile
Brought the touch of warmth and gladness
Dear ole Treasure Isle

Linger yet around the fire
Catch it’s last bright glow
Let us learn it’s ready message
Just before we go
Let the warmth of scout and brother
Dwell in rank and file
Still abiding when we leave thee
Dear ole Treasure Isle
