Memorial Benches on Treasure Island:
In 2025, as part of the renewal of Treasure Island, the Friends of Treasure Island started a new program whereby benches will be available for purchase.
Purchasers will be able have an “In Memoriam” plaque added to their bench recognizing a family member or friend. Each bench is five feet long and the goal is to add multiple benches to each campsite, and then to certain areas around the Island, such as Inspiration Point.
Each bench has a one-time cost of $250, with the FTI staff working regularly to maintain the benches and the plaques over time. Purchasers will have the ability to indicate a location preference for their bench(es) as well as the text for the “In Memoriam” plaque and a QR code to provide more detail, such as a biography of the person being honored.
Each bench is made locally and is constructed of pressure-treated materials to ensure a longer lifetime of service on the Island.

Treasure Island in Memoriam Remembrance Plaque:
The Friends of Treasure Island (FTI) desires to remember anyone who loved Treasure Island and would wish it to live on in the future.
Please consider memorializing a departed family member or friend now “Gone Home” who had a deep abiding love for the “island”.
FTI displays a plaque for all time. An engraved plate affixed to that plaque is an enduring tribute to the love held, for the memories, and friendships made.
